Assignment Brief
Communicate with a target audience, in a visual form, the emotions or the message in a song or a poem.
Requirements
In this group work, you are to decipher the meaning or emotions of a given song or poem. Utilising the elements of design and the principles of organisation, create a work of design that communicates the message or emotions of the given song or poem. The work of design can be in any form, deem fit by you, in the context of the song or poem. However, do consult in your lecturer the size of the design work before finalising your idea.
Each member of the group must contribute to produce a collective sketchbook that records everyone’s research, ideas, opinions and sketches.
The final outcome is to be accompanied by a rationale of about 250 words, stating what you understand from the song or poem (your deciphering) and explaining about the idea behind your final design. You are to present your work on the submission day.

4 weeks (Briefing: Week 1; Deadline: Week 4).

Research Process.
I began the work by doing a research on the song that our group receive which is Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. By that, going into the details of what is exactly the history of the song.
The song is basically peak during the 80's era. From that period i do my research that particular touch on the design, fashion and what's special during the 80's era.
This is a good video that produce by Vox, a completed guide of the 80's.
A few more of the web searching i do to make my information more solid and well supported to the facts. 1 + 2 + 3
The Process.
Our group decided to choose Collage as a medium to produce out final outcome. Since it's more suitable with that period of years. And the song also represent a love journey for two struggling couple and we think it's best suit to do collage and a presentation of the girls point of view.
Among our group, which 3 of us we divided the group work in a way which we separated the song into 3 section. the struggling, the rebuild & plans, and the journey to happiness. As for me i got the the rebuild and plans part. So my collage is particularly focus on how the two couple trying to rebuild their relationship and the girl having a dreams. so mainly focus on those idea for my collage.
The oucome.
Final outcome.
My final stage of collage, it's dense with information and material. It represent an impact of so many things happen in her mind during the rebuild and planning stage of the song. One for example is how she having a dreams for flying out from that town to find a better place for both of them to settle down.
